Learning about the strength of Lewis bases was very interesting because it goes hand in hand with dictating the strength of the ligands of a complex. However, writing the report for this experiment was quite difficult. For there were so many things I learned throughout the semester about properties that can affect complex molecules. Things such as the trans effect, melting point, inductive effects etc. A lot of research and reading was done specifically for this experiment. I felt like I grew a lot in this area. For I realized that while reading research papers, I researched and read about the references they used. I kept doing this until I arrived at the source of the topic.
